Mark Bradbury, commonly known within the music industry as ‘The Dutch Rudder’ has had continued success since he started out in 2006. After leaving his full-time job as an insurance broker, Mark has hit new heights that no 9-5 can compare to.

“I bought my first decks with my last wage and never looked back”.

Mark set out to make his hobby his profession. This talented, Manchester-based DJ has risen through the surrounding towns, playing in bars and clubs within his local area; the stepping stones to where he is today.

He continued his progression by starting a night once a month: ‘Phunk’. This was Oldham’s first and only Electro night which was and continued to be one of the most popular places within Oldham at the time.

Mark then took it upon himself to start sharing his extensive musical knowledge to people who kept asking him “How do you do that?” and set up his own DJ academy – Which takes place at his own studio in one of Manchester’s biggest clubs and recently voted “The best club in the World”, ‘Sankeys‘.

Not having a busy enough schedule, Mark has also achieved what many upcoming DJs would only dream of:

Playing regular slots at Sankeys alongside industry heavyweights like: Sébastien Léger, Dubfire, Thomas Gold and Chris Lake to name a few. He also played at Matter in London where he opened for Laidback Luke; one of Mark’s biggest achievements to date.

Following on from his success over the past year or so, The Dutch Rudder has gone from strength to strength; Mark now produces music and his tracks have been snapped up by labels like: Vacation, MUM, Basica, Bikini and Get Fresh Records. His productions have also been played by Judge Jules on Radio 1 and Mark Knight on Mark Knight Radio.

The question that most people want to know is what can Mark do next? Well, lets’ just say “there’s plenty more where that came from.” Working hard on new productions and remixes; all is going well for this young, talented DJ. Only time will tell where he ends up but with all of this experience under his belt already and his foot firmly on the musical ladder; the only way is up (baby).
